Not surprising. Mothers cant afford nutritious food during maternity & children eat less nutritious food compared to Gen Y.

Gen Y can be considered silver spoon generation. Growing up with nutritious food from womb. Parents can somehow afford higher standard of living, hence able to feed children better.

Also, Gen Y grow up with easily available fast food & mass produced processed food, which is high in saturated fats, hormones & preservatives.

V-canopies at the BP petrol station outside the Pekeliling flats looked very futuristic in the early 70s. Grin

Can you ID the white car parked at the station?

The old UMNO HQ - 1960

The building was situated along Batu Road (now Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman)

During that time, they allow signboards with Chinese wording on the building.

And "Chap" is now "Cap". Grin

A fleet of Datsun taxis outside Tan Chong Motor's head office in the 1950s.

The company still has its head office at the same premises along Jalan Ipoh in Kuala Lumpur after more than 50 years.

I wonder how much a taxi ride would cost back then. Very Happy
